Mempath OC

In the absence of character refs to product fanarts from, I've been trying to come up with some characters and universes of my own to play around with. I've never forced myself to do anything extensive with the few characters I've created, but maybe that'll change now that I'm not so readily inclined to make fanarts.

So yeah. This is Jonah, and he's a mempath, a person who can see and, if given enough power, manipulate other people's memories. I'm a little bit totally obsessed with the idea of physic potential, and I totally blame Weiss Kreuz fandom for that.

Backstory I have so far:
Jonah has been a mempath from a very young age, but because his mother also held unnatural psychic abilities, his family easily accept it from him. Unfortunately, right around the time he turned 17, his mom was in a car accident and died. After watching his father wallow in despair, letting his life fall apart for almost a year, Jonah made a sort of wish and unconsciously erased his mother from his dad's memories. His father, knowing that a dear and vital part of his past was missing but not being able to feel sorrow for a person he might as well have never known, shipped his son to an asylum, no longer able to cope with his son's offensive power and convincing himself that it was for the best. Now, at the age of 19, he needs desperately to escape the facility or risk insanity brought by the truly insane minds surrounding and pressing against his thoughts.
